The Story Behind Crown & Co 👑

Crown & Co was born out of a simple yet powerful moment — one warm morning on a school run. As I was driving my daughter to school, I noticed a little girl walking alongside her mom. The sun was already beaming down, and the girl, with her beautifully braided hair styled into two upward buns, was wearing a baseball cap that sat awkwardly on top of her head. It wasn’t really protecting her from the sun — because, truthfully, it just couldn’t fit over her gorgeous, big hair.

That moment stayed with me. I realised how many girls (and moms!) face the same challenge — wanting to protect their faces from the sun but struggling to find hats that actually fit over natural curls, braids, ponytails, or stylish updos.

As a girl mom myself, I completely understood the struggle. Mornings are all about getting the hair just right — and once it’s done, you don’t want to redo it later just to fit a hat. I wanted something practical, lightweight, and comfortable — a hat that could slide on easily and give sun protection without compromising the hairstyle.

And that’s when Crown & Co was born — a brand designed to celebrate all kinds of crowns.
